2010 Mission Trips

NORFOLK, VIRGINIA

This summer we are planning a trip July 11-17, 2010 to Norfolk, Virginia through Mission Serve. (www.servemg.com) We will meet with other churches from around the country as we roof houses, put up siding, and paint houses in the community of Norfolk. This city needs our prayers and our service and we are pleased to be able and help those who are truly in need. We recognize the importance of the Great Commission as we serve here in our own Jerusalem, but also travel into the world, even to Judea and Samaria and the ends of the earth, knowing that as we go, the Lord is with us always.

The cost of the trip is 12\5.00 for each participant. This will include your transportation, food, work materials, lodging, worship, t-shirt, DVD, and much more. Currently we have 30 individuals from the church registered to attend this summer's mission trip. If you are interested, please contact Allison for more details.  (youth@angierbaptistchurch.com)

If you are already signed up for the trip - please turn in your paperwork asap! We are trying to make room assignments and finish up final details. Thank you to everyone that participated in our fundraiser making this trip more affordable. We couldn't do it without you.

LAKE PROVIDENCE, LOUISIANNA

July 17-24, 2010 Allison will again be taking a team down to Lake Providence, Louisiana to serve as summer volunteer staff for another mission serve project. We will provide the leadership and training as well as support for many churches traveling to the area. East Carroll Parrish where Lake Providence is located is one of the poorest counties in the United States. We will be teaming up with local businesses and churches to help these individuals with their immediate housing needs.  Please be in prayer for our staff team as they make preperations for this trip. If you are interested in volunteering to cook during this week, please contact Allison and let her know of your interest ASAP!
